Scandal of The Day: SonamKapoor got slapped and Kicked

We are as shocked to hear this as you are, but before you get all serious about it, let us tell you that it was all a part of shooting for the latest movie she is working on. 

The gorgeous Sonam is working on the biopic onNeerjaBhanot, where she is playing the lead character of Neerja. NeerjaBhanot was a flight attendent on the flight which was hijacked by terrorists on 5 September 1986. She lost her life at the hands of the terrorists in order to save passengers on the flight. She died at a young age of 22 and posthumously, she became the youngest person to have been awarded the Ashoka Chakra for her bravery and courage. She saved the lives of children by shielding them from from the fire of bullets. She was also given International Recognition as "heroine of the hijack".

Sonam agreed to the scenes in which she have been slapped and kicked in the stomach without a body double, because she wanted to do justice to the role she is playing. The director, Ram Madhvani,wanted the scene to look as real as possible and thus Sonam got slapped by her co-star, model AbrarZahoor, who is playing the antagonist in the film. He told a leading newspaper, that he was required to slap Sonam and even kick her in the stomach as was the demand of the script. The shooting of the film is going to end soon as the cast and the crew is working for almost 16 hours at a stretch in a day. The film’s release date has not been finalised yet. ShabanaAzmi plays the role of the mother of NeerjaBhanot. The film also stars music director ShekharRajvianai in a key role.
